I have never had success with coil baskets - I think I get stuck at the beginning and don't really progress from there. I did teach this to a middle school class once, but ours were on a very small scale and not quite as involved as your examples. I would love to try it again. Thanks for the informative voice thread.
technical stuff - I'm not sure why, but some of the slide comments play twice and the sound was very quiet. The voice thread that I made was loud on my computer but the sound was very soft when a colleague accessed it. Maybe this is a glitch that we will have to check into.
